There is a Powerful New Koenigsegg on the Block

The Koenigsegg Agera has had some really interesting models. The One:1 and the RS were incredibly bonkers in terms of both power and performance. Now, Koenigsegg has another Agera to add to the mix.

Meet the newest hypercar in the Koenigsegg stable, the Agera XS.

The Koenigsegg Agera XS is a lightweight and extremely powerful remake of the Agera RS. For starters, the XS has a 5.0-liter twin turbo V8 pumping out a massive 1,340bhp and 1,371 lb-ft of torque. The engine is the same as that in the Agera One:1. The engine is paired with a seven-speed paddle shift transmission. There are no performance figures but it should run better than the Agera RS which posted a time of 2.9 seconds for its zero to 62mph sprint. The “theoretical” top speed should still be around 275mph. The Agera XS tips the scales at a lean 1,394kgs which are just around 50kgs heavier than the One:1.

So what else is new in the Agera XS?

The most noticeable difference is the bigger fixed rear wing. It would be the largest rear wing in a Koenigsegg. The cornering speed with the bigger rear wing is 1.8g. The XS also has adjustable hydraulic suspension so it can clear speed bumps. The hypercar also gets adjustable carbon seats, a detachable hardtop and smart airbags. There are also creature comforts such as the extra luggage space, Apple Carplay and USB connectivity.  The Karosserie Orange paint job is finished with a diamond dust metallic effect. The interior is made of leather and lined with Alcantara wood.

The Agera XS was custom built for an American buyer. This will be the first Koenigsegg specifically done for an owner in the United States and all the features were specifically requested by the chap who bought it. How much does this hypercar cost? The estimate is that it costs somewhere north of $2,000,000 USD. For that amount of cash, Christian Von Koenigsegg will surely build you the car of your dreams.
