What car has 16 cylinders and four superchargers? Most car guys would immediately think of the venerable Bugatti Veyron and Chiron. Well, this car is not a Bugatti and not even from the same century. It is blue, has two huge blowers and no roof.

Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the Double Trouble Roadster.
The Double Trouble started out life as a 1927 Ford Model T Roadster. Gordon Tronson, the owner of this unique hot rod turned it into an absolute beast of a car. The roadster is powered by two 4.6 litre DOHC Ford engines. These are two separate engines linked with Poly Chain Carbon belts. Each engine has two superchargers bolted to it which make four in total. The power output of this beast is 1,200bhp and is paired with a 3 speed Ford C5 automatic transmission.

The Double Trouble sits on a custom frame made from 1.5-inch tubing. The Ford Model T body is made of fibreglass. The front suspension is also custom made using Corvette spindles. There is no roof or rear windscreen. There is just a chopped front windscreen and a rear roll bar. You don’t see much from the front as those two massive blowers take up much of the view. Both the radiator and blowers work as advertised. The car also sits on massive Billet Specialties wheels.

If you are wondering how fast this monster of a hotrod goes then you will be disappointed. There is so much power in this car, with very little weight, that it spins out if you open up the throttle. The car tends to go sideways than straight. But you can cruise on this car, though.

So, how much does it cost to build one of these beauties? If you do most of the work yourself, then be prepared to shell out around $60,000. If you just want to buy the Double Trouble, then be prepared to shell out some insane amounts of money to make Gordon consider selling it.
