The Bugatti Chiron has been hogging the hypercar spotlight at the Geneva Motor Show. It is indeed a very impressive hypercar. However, the British are not to be underestimated because they have a hypercar of their own.

Introducing the Arash AF10, a hybrid that packs some serious horsepower.
The AF10 is built by Arash which is founded by Arash Farboud and is based in Suffolk, England. The company was originally named Farboud Sports Cars and then Farbio Sports before it became Arash.
The AF10 has gained some attention because of the horsepower it brings to the table. The hypercar has a mid-mounted 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces 900bhp. Four electric engines, two in each axle, adds another 1,180bhp for a total of 2,080bhp. The electric motors are powered by a 32kW Lithium-ion battery. The total torque output is a massive 1,682 lb-ft.

The AF10 has been dubbed the “Le Mans car for the road”.
There is a five-part hybrid drive train to transfer all that power to the asphalt. The hybrid drive train consists of four two-speed gearboxes for the electric motors plus either a six-speed manual or paddle-shift for the V8 petrol engine. The car can hit speeds in excess of 201mph and will go from 0 to 62mph sprint in 2.8 seconds.
The hypercar is made up mostly of carbon fibre including the monocoque to go with the steel sub-frame. It features dihedral doors, a fixed rear spoiler and adjustable front wing. It also uses lightweight magnesium racing wheels. Arash is withholding the total weight of the car for now. We assume it weighs significantly less than the Bugatti Chiron.
The Arash AF10 will be priced at $1.6 million US Dollars for the standard hybrid model. The Racer model is priced at $1.7million which includes a roll cage, fire extinguisher and intercom. If you fancy the car design but not the hybrid engine, a 550bhp V8 is available of $495,000. There is no word on when the company will start delivering cars.
