Not every car is made for speed. It is also a very rare feat for a four-door saloon to get to 200mph. Well, Bentley has done just that. The new Flying Spur was made for speed and is certainly capable of reaching 200mph. That’s fast for a boxy four-door car.

The new Bentley Flying Spur W12 S is an update to the already fast Flying Spur.
Bentley has done some wizardry to the Flying Spur’s 6.0 litre W12 twin turbo petrol engine to produce 626bhp and 605 lb-ft of torque. That’s 10bhp and 14 lb-ft more than the original output of the W12 engine. The power hike is enough to propel the Flying Spur W12 S to 202mph with a nought to 62mph time of 4.2 seconds. That is quick for such a heavy car. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic ZF transmission with paddle shifters.
The Flying Spur has also updated the suspension for the W12 S. The dampers and stability controls have also been recalibrated to give a sportier feel and better handling. There is an option to get larger ceramic brakes for additional stopping power which is a good idea if you want to test the top speed of this car.
The aesthetics of the W12 S has been updated a bit too. The headlights have that darker, smoky tint. The grille has been updated to look a bit more aggressive. The optional 21-inch rims should be a nice pick up to go along with the carbon ceramic brakes. There are also black accents and special badges to make this stand out from the original Flying Spur. The interior has been updated with wi-fi, options for the steering wheel, lots of leather and an option to have a metal trim called “engine-spin”.
The Bentley Flying Spur W12 S will be available by the end of the year and will debut at the Paris Motor Show. There is no word on how much it would cost but that shouldn’t be an issue to interested buyers. If we could afford it, we would definitely go for the W12 S.
