Jeeps at the SEMA 2015

Real Jeeps, like those you see out in the dessert or in the trails are almost always modified. There are a whole lot of things that you can do to dress up your ride and make it a lot more fun to drive. The most common modifications would be adding lifted suspension, some big new tires, and that all-important paint job. Nothing beats a heavily customised Jeep that looks and plays the part.

Jeep and Mopar have teamed up to build one of the best Jeeps on display at SEMA. The Red Rock Concept is a modified Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock edition. This Jeep has a number of Mopar performance modifications and a very catchy new name. The old name was a tad bit too long.

Jeep 1

The engine is a 285hp 3.6liter Pentastar V6 with a 6-speed manual transmission and a Rock-Trac transfer case that has a crawl ratio of 73.1:1. The front and rear axles are Dana 44s packing 4.10 gears. This Jeep has more than enough crawl-capable torque to tackle most obstacles on the trails.

The Jeep has been slightly lifted by 2 inches, courtesy of Aftermarket Jeep Performance Parts, to fit the massive 35-inch BFG all terrain tires inside the fender flares. The additional clearance should help clear rocks and obstacles in its way.

This custom crawler has been given the show-car feel with exterior modifications like its power-dome vented hood, front/rear tow hooks, low-gloss badging and LED headlights. And also a nice red paint job to match its name.  It is an absolute stunner of a Jeep.

Surprisingly, this custom Jeep will be a limited-edition run of 50 units in honor of the 50th Moab Easter Jeep Safari. The limited run should make this custom Jeep a highly prized crawler in the near future, if their new owners decide not to take them off-road.

Here are other jeeps that were on the SEMA 2015 show.
