If you haven’t heard of Fisker Automotive or the Fisker Karma then you are not alone. Most do not know of the small automotive company based in Anaheim, California. The company started in 2007 and produced the Fisker Karma in 2011. They hit a few speed bumps along the way and finally declared bankruptcy in 2014.
They are back and resurrected the Karma into the Fisker Revero.

The Fisker Revero is luxury sports sedan with a hybrid powerplant. Underneath the hood is turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine capable of producing 260bhp and is sourced from General Motors. The petrol engine is used to charge the generator connected to a pair of 160bhp electric motors. The two electric motors are the ones connected to the wheels and can produce 960 lb-ft of torque. The Revero can accelerate to 62mph from a standstill in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 125mph.

The Revero is meant to be a long-range cruiser with a range of 230miles. The fuel economy of the car is at 52mpg which is very efficient. The 20.1kWh lithium-ion battery can be charged by either the petrol engine or plugged into the grid. The roof of the Revero is made of solar panels which power the climate control system and other accessories.

The exterior of the Revero has been slightly updated with the front and rear bumpers being redesigned. The Revero does look like a proper sports car from the outside since the designer and CEO Henrik Fisker was the person behind the designs of the BMW Z8 and Aston Martin DB9. Now we know why it has the lines of an Aston Martin with the front grille of a BMW.
The old Fisker Karma was plagued by reliability and safety issues which led to some vehicles catching fire. The reliability and safety issues have been resolved with the Revero. There are also upgrades to the interior of the car as well as the electronics such as the infotainment system.
The starting price for the Fisker Revero is around $135,000 USD.
