Earlier in the year we were treated to a plethora of supercars and hypercars. New SUVs were few and far in between. Peugeot is about to change that with a loud statement.
Say hello to the all new Peugeot 3008 Crossover SUV
The all new 3008 comes in a range of models and engines.

At the top end of the spectrum are the four-cylinder 1.6-litre 160bhp petrol engine and the 2.0-litre 180bhp diesel engine. The gearbox of choice can be 5 or 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions. The 3008 can have rear wheel drive or all wheel drive options. If you are wondering, the 3008 shares the same platform as the 308 sedan.
What has gotten a lot of people excited about the 3008 is the new i-Cockpit. It features a smaller steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital display. There are a lot of buttons that can be configured based on your personal preference. There is also an extra 8-inch touchscreen display for SatNav and infotainment features. You also get a quirky new drive mode selector if you choose to get the automatic transmission.

Peugeot also reminds buyers that the 3008 is a proper SUV. It has standard SUV features like hill descent system and traction control modes that can handle snow, mud and sand. There is an option for all terrain tires just in case you want to take the SUV off-road. The new 3008 was also put on a diet, shedding some 100kg of excess weight from its predecessor. The interior is a bit roomier with increased headroom and the front passenger seat can be folded for extra carrying space.
The Peugeot 3008 will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September and will be available for buyers in early 2017.
Stay tuned for additional information and pricing on the 3008.
